— The Package Rescue Team
Package Rescue helps you coordinate with trusted friends, family, or neighbors to retrieve packages delivered to your address when you're not available. Create teams of rescuers who can pick up packages on your behalf.
Click "Sign Up" and create an account preferably with your Google or Apple account. You'll need to verify any email or mobile number and enter your delivery address before you can create teams and rescue requests.
Navigate to Teams and click "New Team". Enter your team name and delivery address. Your team represents a specific location where packages are delivered.
Owned Teams are teams that you created and manage. You control who can be rescuers on these teams, and you can send rescue requests to your team members. The "Owned" section on your Teams page shows all teams where you are the owner.
Suggested Teams are teams at addresses where you're already a rescuer on someone else's team. These suggestions let you create your own team at the same address. When you click "Create Owned Team" on a suggested team, you'll create a team that you own at that address, allowing you to send rescue requests to the other people at that location. This is useful when neighbors are already helping each other and you want to coordinate rescues at your shared delivery address.
From your team page, you can send invitations via SMS or email to people you trust. They'll receive a link to join your team. Once they accept, they become rescuers who can pick up packages for you.
Yes, you can be a member or rescuer on multiple teams. This is useful if you help retrieve packages at different locations (your home, a friend's house, etc.).
When you have a package that needs picking up, go to your team and click "Request Rescue". And your team members will be notified immediately.
All rescuers on your team receive a notification via their preferred method (email, SMS, or both). The request includes a link to the Rescue Request where rescuers can see the status and mark it as completed.
Yes, you can change the status. You can also cancel a request if it's no longer needed.
You can receive notifications via email, SMS, or both. Set your preferences in your notification settings to choose how you want to be alerted about rescue requests.
Yes, navigate to Notification Preferences to choose whether you want to receive notifications by email, SMS, or both. You can update these settings at any time.
